You have a job, a family, and a body that takes longer to heal than it used to. That is a completely rational reason to ride past the terrain park every single time. It is not a reason to never learn. It is a reason to learn properly, in the one place built to remove the consequences.
Progressive terrain. Airbag. Nothing you haven’t built up to.
Let’s be honest about the fear
Most adult injuries in a terrain park come from attempting a feature nobody prepared them for, wrong speed, wrong stance, wrong feature, no progression. The danger is not the park. The danger is arriving at a jump with no idea what your body is supposed to do in the air, and finding out in the air.
Consequence removal
We did not make the camp safer by making it easier. We made it safer by taking the punishment out of being wrong, so you can be wrong twenty times in an afternoon and learn something each time.
Summer corn on the Palmer Glacier absorbs a fall in a way February ice never will. This is the entire reason we run in July.
Timberline’s airbag deletes the landing. You can rehearse the frightening half of a trick until it is dull, then take it to snow when it is no longer frightening.
Jump lines that start absurdly small. You do not touch the next size until the current one is boring. Nobody is dared into anything.

Every trick worth wanting is two problems at once: the rotation and the landing. Take the landing away and the rotation becomes something you can simply practise, twenty times in an afternoon, until the frightening part is boring.
The fourth layer
Four campers per coach. Your coach sees every attempt, stops you before the mistake compounds, and has your footage on a screen that night. Compare that with a thirty person session where nobody notices you were carrying too much speed until you are already in the air.

What Chris said
“I was nervous about it being my first year snowboarding and possibly holding people back since I didn’t have a lot of park experience, but the coaches were great at breaking things down into stages for me to try and build my confidence and progress at a pace I was comfortable with. My riding improved so much.”Chris Rosa
“I was able to progress my riding, and at the same time, I felt safe because I knew I had great coaches I could trust. Morning exercises on the mountain and video feedback were super valuable… Riding Mount Hood in the summer, meeting new friends, seeing old friends, watching pros ride, and getting coached by the best is super special.”Jimmy Rivas · RN, 37, Chicago
The loop
Summer glacier corn is the most forgiving surface in snowboarding. Falling stops hurting, so your body stops bracing.
Four campers per coach. Your coach knows your name, your leak and your goal by the first lunch.
Timberline's airbag lets you try the scary version twenty times with no landing consequence.
Every evening we put your footage on the screen and find the one thing to change tomorrow.
You wake up and do it again, five mornings back to back. That repetition is the part winter can never give you.
Each session runs Monday to Sunday: you travel in and settle on Monday, ride Tuesday through Saturday, and fly home Sunday. That is five full days on snow with no travel day eating into them. Exact calendar dates are confirmed with Timberline each spring and announced to deposit holders first. Both sessions fall between June 20 and July 30, 2027.
Ride all five days. If on your last run you cannot do something on a snowboard that you could not do on your first morning, we refund your coaching in full. You name that something yourself, in writing, on day one. You keep the video, the drills and the week. We have never had to write that cheque, and we are not nervous about it.
