The evening session · the part nobody photographs
Everybody films at camp. Almost nobody tells you what they do with the footage. Here is exactly what happens between dinner and bed, and why it is the reason riders leave here different rather than just tired.
Nightly video analysis is included in both packages.
The five passes
Your coach filmed you all morning. After dinner we sit down and go through your clips in a fixed order, because looking at everything at once is how riders end up overwhelmed and change nothing.
You watch yourself ride once at normal speed and say nothing. Most riders have literally never seen themselves snowboard. This alone changes what they believe about their own riding.
We rewind to before anything happened. Stance, speed, edge, eyes. Nine times out of ten the mistake was already made three seconds before the part you thought was the mistake.
Take-off, or the initiation of the turn, stepped one frame at a time. This is where you see the thing your coach has been telling you all morning, and it finally means something.
Your clip next to a clip of the movement done correctly, playing together. Not to make you feel bad — to give your brain a target image to copy tomorrow.
We agree on a single change for tomorrow morning. One. Written down. That is the whole output of the session, and it is why it works.

Nobody photographs it, because it looks like five adults on a sofa staring at a television. It is still the reason riders leave here different rather than just tired.
Why one thing
The failure mode of coaching is a rider who leaves with eleven corrections and applies none of them. Seven nights, seven single changes, each one built on the last — that is a stack you can actually climb. It is also why a consecutive week beats seven scattered lessons over three winters.
Summer glacier corn is the most forgiving surface in snowboarding. Falling stops hurting, so your body stops bracing.
Four campers per coach. Your coach knows your name, your leak and your goal by Monday lunch.
Timberline's airbag lets you try the scary version twenty times with no landing consequence.
Every evening we put your footage on the screen and find the one thing to change tomorrow.
You wake up and do it again — 7 days back to back. That repetition is the part winter can never give you.
What a camper said about exactly this
“I was able to progress my riding, and at the same time, I felt safe because I knew I had great coaches I could trust. Morning exercises on the mountain and video feedback were super valuable… Riding Mount Hood in the summer, meeting new friends, seeing old friends, watching pros ride, and getting coached by the best is super special.”Jimmy Rivas · RN, 37, Chicago
Jimmy named the video feedback and the morning exercises specifically, and he has been twice.
The rest of the week

Sessions
Exact calendar dates are confirmed with Timberline each spring and announced to deposit holders first. Both sessions run Monday through Sunday between June 20 and July 30, 2027.
Ride all seven days. If by Sunday afternoon you cannot do something on a snowboard that you could not do on Monday morning — something you name yourself on day one, in writing — we refund your coaching in full. You keep the video, the drills and the week. We have never had to write that cheque, and we are not nervous about it.
